Call out for artists to step forward for new Alloa Town Centre mural
Alloa First, in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council, are looking for artists to submit design work for a new Public Art project.
The gable end wall and adjacent low wall are situated in the lane between Drysdale Street and the King Street carpark, next to one of the most prominent locations in the town as a main walkway for pedestrians going in and out of the town.
The design concept should incorporate some relevance to the Alloa area, and should fit with our theme of ‘Alloa: People and Place’.
The project will be funded by a Public Art budget which the Council has raised from developers in the area in recent years.
Initial designs, written concepts and application forms should be submitted to Clackmannanshire Council/Alloa First by 9 am on Monday 31st January 2022. The application form also asks for the artist’s quotation to carry out the project and this fee should cover all preparation, materials, equipment and insurance as required. Applications and designs can be handed into the Alloa First office at 49 High Street, Alloa or emailed to diane@alloafirst.co.uk Artists must either work or live in Clackmannanshire, or have prominent links to the area.
