Main Responsibilities

Working alongside our knowledgeable Pharmacists and store teams, you will be instrumental in the efficient delivery of pharmacy processes to ensure our customers are really taken care of. This role maintains a high level of competence to ensure the safe dispensing of medication to customers as well as being the experts that our customers can rely on.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re happy to consider either a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant or a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant for this role. Whether you’re just starting out in the Pharmacy industry or if you’re already qualified we’re looking for someone who is friendly and organised with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Building relationships with your customers is key and you’ll play an important part in meeting their unique healthcare needs.

In order to be considered for the Qualified Pharmacy Assistant role it is essential that you already have a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Manage cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Uphold personal license regulations and promote responsible drinking.
  • Utilize time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.

Shop Volunteer – British Red Cross

If you have a few hours a week that you can spare on a regular basis and want to help around the shop, then this could be the opportunity for you!
**General Assistant volunteer typical activities** – Checking the quality of items donated and preparing them for sale or for recycling. – Ironing, cleaning, labelling, and pricing the items ready for sale. – Keeping the shop well organised and tidy. – Displaying items for sale. – General activities around the shop. No experience is needed. Full training will be provided. There is no expectation to use a till or computer in this volunteering role.

Alloa In Bloom – Volunteer

Alloa in Bloom provide floral arrangements and pocket gardens in Alloa town centre for the pleasure of local people, visitors and shoppers. The group offers friendship, a blether and lots of fun for local people.
