Therapy Zone – Personal Assistant

The role is to assist a couple with their individual care needs within their home and includes:

  • Personal care.
  • Moving and assisting.
  • Assistance getting in and out of bed.
  • Assistance with showering.
  • Assistance with dressing and undressing.
  • Assistance with meal preparation.
  • Any other duties that are relevant and pertinent to the role of carer / personal assistant.

The suitable candidate would be required (this is a share roll position) to cover the role every second weekend, and holiday cover, sickness etc.

Hours and shift pattern:

Working – 2 days per week. Saturday and Sunday one weekend , Thursday and Friday the following week – on this repeat pattern.  OR  Sat/ Sunday every week.

Minimum 3 hours and 15 mins per day. Shifts split into Breakfast / lunch , dinner and Night tuck or can be combined into two visits a day AM and PM.

Qualities of the applicant: 

Must be Caring, trustworthy, dependable with good time keeping, and the ability to work with their own initiative. Be able to drive or attend the Alloa area.

Rate of Pay: £9.50 per hour gross.

Alloa In Bloom – Volunteer

Alloa in Bloom is a newly constituted volunteer group, supported by Alloa First (BID) and working with other local charities to provide floral arrangements and pocket gardens in Alloa town centre for the pleasure of local people, visitors and shoppers. The group is planning to fundraise as well as offer friendship, a blether and lots of fun for local people.

It will include a mix of remote working from home, and coming into our office based in Alloa through the 6 months of employment. (Depending on what work or training needs to be carried out that week.)
