Resonate – Free garden party
June 25 @ 12:30 pm - 4:00 pmFree
Resonate, in partnership with Engage Britain, have planned a free festival for Alloa this Saturday (25th Jun) on the grounds of their new Carsebridge Cultural Campus. 12.30-4pm.
There will be free food from The Tiffin, who you might remember from the Alloa First Friday market. Alongside this will be free creative activities for all ages; there will be a ‘Connection Yurt’ for sharing stories through our poetry, quotes and a word panel… and artists creating outdoor art works from nature.
The event will have chill out spaces for a cuppa and a chat, and quiet spaces for those who find mixing again after Covid challenging but still want to be involved… and of course a few chairs arranged for those that are people watchers and love to see what’s happening.
There will be free live music pop ups, including Michael on Keyboards, and John on Saxophone… and if you fancy playing a tune or two, then just bring your instrument along! Maybe sit by the campfire and sing a few songs.
As the Resonate Team are trying to save the site from demolition – they are creating a Reunion Tent for those staff, friends and families that had connections to the site – to come together and share your stories. In the future, and in response to many requests, they will be creating a Heritage Museum on site, so there will be opportunity to share your stories, bring any reminders and get photos taken together! Thanks already goes to Charlie and Grace Drysdale for the wonderful donated framed photographs, these will also be on display on the day.
United Nations Association Alloa:
Scotland’s UNA will be on site to meet local people and celebrate the new Alloa Branch Launch – exciting times for all!
Come along, come alone or bring friends and family! This is sure to be a memorable and exciting day out.
